This is my first ever blog! In March 2011 I moved to Folly Beach, SC - a magical place for inspiration from the abundant and diverse nature to the colorful characters who reside here who parade past the window of my studio every day. I am excited to share some of my ideas about art, some of my successes and some of my failures as well as tips and hints that I have learned!
Have you ever wanted to take a great photo of your pet and been disappointed with the results?
Because I cannot always take my own photos of the pets I paint, I have comprised tips for pet owners so they can take their own. Here is some basic advice that I will go into in greater detail in upcoming posts.
Get down on your pet’s level. Take photos in early morning, late afternoon or in even shade. DO NOT USE A FLASH! If shooting inside, make sure there is plenty of natural light as by a window. Otherwise your photo could be blurry.
